European Wind Turbine Expert Joins Save Energy Group
Wolf Dietrich joins Save Energy and brings almost twenty years in business development and sales experience to the team, as well as an in-depth understanding of the small wind energy sector, having worked as a consultant in the small wind energy industry, and as a Director of a domestic wind energy technology start-up in the sector.
Wolf instigated the creation of Save Energy’s Wind Energy Division, which aims to supply a carefully selected range of efficient, quiet and reliable wind turbines for our customers. Applying a strong focus on commercial viability, Wolf will strive to analyse our commercial clients’ needs in detail, and provide sound bespoke environmental solutions - as well as finance options.
The Save Energy Group can integrate wind energy systems with a range of alternative renewable energy technologies, helping your home or business become truly environmentally-friendly and energy efficient property – as well as achieving savings on your energy bills.
The experts in our Wind Energy Division will offer proven, market-leading wind energy systems that provide the perfect balance of efficiency, reliability, quiet operation and of course attractive cost options. We are in the process of selecting the best solutions for a range of requirements which will be available in 2012. They will offer the best MCS certified choices for any business that wants to shield against ever rising electricity prices, reduce a reliance on mains energy and minimise environmental impact.
Wind energy systems – particularly in rural areas and open countryside – can be highly efficient when installed in a location with strong wind resource, and provide excellent financial returns. Save Energy installs wind turbines in a range from 2kW to 15kW, which are on towers that are large enough to provide clear wind flow, but small enough to blend in with the environment and not become an unwanted eyesore - towering over the surroundings.
The UK is the windiest country in Europe and, since the first wind farm in the UK was built in 1991, wind energy has become the UK's largest renewable energy source - generating 2.2% of the UK’s electricity supply in 2007.The UK Government's Renewable Energy Strategy aims to generate 15% of all the UK's energy from renewables by 2020, although the recent report 'Building a Low Carbon Economy' predicts that by 2020 wind energy technology alone has the potential to deliver 30% of the UK's overall electricity supply.
Domestic wind turbines are effectively a much smaller version of the commercial wind turbines which are already common across the UK landscape. Domestic wind turbines can be fitted to your home - or in a suitable location nearby - to provide your electricity. Energy produced supplements energy received from the national grid, thus reducing your bills and allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds - free, renewable energy on windy days and mains supply when weather conditions are quieter.
Rural areas tend to be better sites for domestic wind turbines than urban areas, due to issues with buildings and other structures blocking the wind. If you wish to investigate domestic wind turbines, the first step is to establish whether there is enough wind at your property for it to be a viable option.
